Principal’s Notes
It’s hard to believe it’s almost March! Third quarter is moving along at a quick pace with only 3 weeks left in the quarter. Students need to keep up with their grades and make sure that they are up-to-date on all homework assignments and major projects. The quarter ends March 17 and report cards will be sent home March 27.

Reminder - AIMS Tests This Week
All sophomores and some juniors will be taking the writing and reading portions of the AIMS test on Tuesday, February 28 and Wednesday, March 1. Division II students will have a special testing schedule on those days with school hours of 8:30 a.m.-12:00 noon. This means that Wednesday, March 1 will not be a “late start” for students taking AIMS. (Ninth grade parents, please note: Division I students will have regular school hours on those days.)
Ninth Grade Parent Meeting
There will be an informational meeting re: the Division 1 Trip to CEDO this Wednesday, March 1, at 6:00 pm at City High School for parents and Division I students. A list of what to bring, medical release forms and the trip agenda will be discussed. For more information, please email Jeff Hartman at City High School: jeffh@cityhighschool.org
In the Field
Division I
Ninth graders are finishing up their special humanities unit at the Tucson Museum of Art this week with a celebration and completed group art project on Wednesday. The art project will be on display at City High School March-May. Come check it out.
Division II
All tenth and eleventh graders will go to a student conference sponsored by the Chamber Music Festival at the Tucson Convention Center on Thursday, March 9. There are a couple of extra tickets; if any parents are interested in being volunteer chaperones for the event, please contact Carrie at 623-7223. Students need to abide by the Community Day dress code on the 9th.
Bike Storage
We are excited to have so many students and staff bike commuting to school these days. We are working to increase the number of bike racks along the sidewalk, so that bike parking is more convenient. Students who bring bikes to school need to lock them using the racks in front or store their bikes using the alley bike hooks. We are working to keep the alley area organized and all exits clear (for fire code). Bike commuters: please do not store bikes inside, leave them in the alley on the ground, or walk them through the school. Thanks for your cooperation!
