Principal's Notes
First semester report cards were sent home through the mail on Friday, February 11. If you have not received a copy in the mail yet or if you have any questions about grades, please call us at school. Students also got a copy of their report cards to put in their portfolios in advisory, so they are aware of their final grades and have reviewed them with their advisors.

We are sad to report that our Spanish teacher, Lisa Lieber, has decided she needs to relocate back home with family in Minnesota. She has been out for the past few weeks on bereavement leave, and John Sheedy has been the substitute teacher in her class. We were all hoping – Lisa included – that she would be well enough to resume teaching this semester, but unfortunately that cannot happen at this time. We are working hard to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. We have advertised the position and will be hiring a replacement in the next few days. Lisa will be on campus at the end of this week to say goodbye to students and to meet with our new Spanish teacher. We will send a mailing home to parents to introduce the teacher we hire as a replacement. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions or concerns about the transition.

Lunches for Second Semester
Lunches are available for sale on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, just like first semester: Mondays sandwiches, Wednesdays pizza, and Fridays hamburgers. Vegetarian options are available all three days. (We are negotiating with another restaurant to add lunch service on Tuesdays as well and will send out information once it is confirmed.) Students can order lunches for whichever days and number of weeks they choose. Please note: to avoid having extra lunches, we will be ordering only a few over our count each week. Students cannot rely on having lunches available to purchase without having pre-ordering. LUNCH FORMS are available from Lynn at the front desk. Any question, please call Lynn, 623-7223.

Tutoring Continues - Tuesdays and Thursdays
We continue to offer after-school tutoring services free of charge twice a week. Math tutoring is every Tuesday from 3:45-4:45. Tutoring for reading, writing, and humanities assignments is every Thursday from 3:30-4:30. Please encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to get extra help or just to complete their homework in a structured environment at school.
